Attitude Affects Altitude

In the summer of 2015, I changed jobs. All the sales leaders were invited to a global sales leader strategy meeting in Chicago. I joined this new company after 14 years with my previous one. Clearly, I felt a bit out of place with the new company. I had to build new relationships and start networking to get into the inner circle.

I had invariably started comparing the two companies' differences and how I had accelerated my career growth and built networks in the previous company. While walking down to the office, I was sharing my observations with a colleague, and after listening to me for about two minutes, he said something that led to a paradigm shift in my mind. He said, "Anish, remember, Attitude Affects Altitude." I stopped in my tracks, looked at him, and said, "Phil, wow, that is very profound." Since then, I have always remembered these three words, which have become my philosophy. They have helped me through some tough times during my weight loss journey and the entrepreneurial roller coaster I was on with the artificial intelligence startup. 

The word "attitude" has its origins in the Italian language. It comes from the Italian word "attitudine," which means disposition or posture. The term was later adopted into French as "attitude" with a similar meaning. In English, "attitude" has been used since the 17th century to refer to a person's mental position or posture, and over time, it evolved to encompass one's manner, disposition, or way of thinking. 

In Sanskrit, the word attitude means 'Drishtikon,' which means the point of view, the way you look at life. Seeing is believing, isn’t it?

In simple words, the word "attitude" can have several meanings depending on the context, but in general, it refers to a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically exhibited through one's behavior. Attitude encompasses a combination of beliefs, values, emotions, and behaviors that shape an individual's approach to various aspects of life. 

Beliefs, values, emotions, and feelings reside in your limbic brain or subconscious mind. Research in neuroscience suggests that a substantial portion of decision-making happens at a subconscious level. Studies have shown that people often make choices before being consciously aware of them (kind of on autopilot), and the subconscious mind plays a crucial role in shaping behavior. 

Now, attitude can be positive, negative, or neutral, and it often influences how a person perceives and responds to situations. It can also impact one's actions, choices, and interactions with others. Attitude is a complex psychological construct that reflects an individual's mindset and can be influenced by personal experiences, cultural factors, and social environment.

So, if your attitude towards people, things, and life primarily resides in your subconscious mind, which makes more of your daily decisions on autopilot, doesn’t it directly impact your choices and the results you get in life? This means your attitude impacts your life – directly! Ergo, attitude affects altitude.

Common Qs and As 

❓How long are these programs? 

The Brain and Mind Warrior (BMW) program is 12 months long program. You will need to attend two group calls per month. The purpose of this program is to assist you in reaching new heights and develop a personalized roadmap to advance your professional career. The BMW program can be offered as a 3 - 4 day offsite retreat format as well. 

The Young Mind Warrior (YMW) programs can be delivered virtually over a period of three months with two calls per month or in a condensed 5-day summer camp. 

How are the program calls conducted, and how long are they?

Program calls occur on a video call like Zoom or Teams and/or a teleconference call, providing you flexibility. The calls will be 60 minutes each.

❓Do I need to spend additional time other than the calls? 

Yes, but primarily depends on the exercises you must complete after our calls. 

❓What kind of results can I expect from these programs? 

Results can include improved confidence, self-esteem, career progression, business expansion, and personal fulfillment. We are committed to ensuring that you witness tangible progress in your journey.
